Start with a nickel balanced
on end on the bar. If the nickel rolls put something on
the bar to stop it. I use a match. I tried this
with different coins but a nickel works best. Next balance
a match on the nickel Then put an empty pint glass upside-down
over the nickel and match.
Tell your spectators to get
the match off the nickel without touching anything and when
they're done you want the nickel to still be standing. No
blowing under the glass no vibration as the nickel will fall.
Solution:
Take
a horsehair brush from the pool table rub it on your hair (
Is stale beer, cigarette ash, and cue stick chalk a beauty secret
I don't know about? I think I'll stick to a plastic comb, It'll
have the same effect on the match and a better effect on my
hair) ,by static electricity ,as you circle
the pint glass without touching it the match will turn like
a compass until it falls off the nickel Sometimes
I've used three bar straws rubbed on my head to create static
electric [charge].
