Effect:

With a wooden match in each hand, you make them penetrate each other without even a nick.

How it's done:

1. Place the first match in your right hand with it's head on you index finger and the opposite end on your thumb.
   
2. Now do the same with the other match in your left hand with the exception that you will place the match as close to your middle finger as possible.
   
3. Place your right hand palm up with your knuckles facing toward the left.
   
4. Place your left-hand palm down with your knuckles facing forward above the right hand. The matches should now be at right angles to each other.
   
5. Move your left hand down towards your right and just before the matches meet, press the side of your left middle finger against your index finger so that you clip the match. With the match clipped, release your left thumb so that the right hand match can pass through the gap you created.
   
6. Repeat the steps above in the opposite order to separate them.

Tips:

Make sure your left-hand knuckles face the eyes of your audience so that your fingers cover the movement of your thumb.

You can tap the matches together a couple of times first to bring home the fact that they're solid.

Practice in front of the mirror a few times before you show anyone. It may look good to you as you first do it but it may look different from the front. ANGLES MATTER.
