Dartboard bet

Place a bill of any denomination in the center of the dartboard. How you get it to stay is up to you. Just make sure the proprietor of the establishment doesn’t mind. After all superglue could ruin the board and you could end up with a dart “attached” to your face when he finds out.

The object of the game is to hit the bill with a dart three times. The dart has to penetrate the bill and stick to the board. You can hit the bill anywhere at all. “It’s a big target so it should be no problem” you say? Well, as always there’s a catch.

· You must take your first shot from the throwing line.
· Then you must take one full step forward and take your next shot.
· Last of all you must take two full steps back so that you’re one step behind the throwing line and take your last shot.

Still sound easy to you? If so you can come by my bar anytime and we’ll put some money on it.

It can be done but it’s EXTREMELY difficult.

Now here’s were the money comes in. You can either play for the bill on the board or you can do what we like to do at my establishment. Everyone who wants to take a shot, must put a dollar in a jar. The first person to get all three darts in the bill wins the pot. I’ve seen the pot get up to $200 dollars. Granted one drunk bastard put in the bulk of that over the course of 3 nights but his girlfriend won it back. Maybe that old bromide that says “A fool and his money are soon parted” should be changed to “ A drunk and his money ….”
